Solidarity Candle Light Vigil for Palestine Christians

  • On 17 April 2011, the Palm Sunday that marks Jesus’ solemn into the Holy city of Jerusalem, Christians of all denominations in Delhi congregated in front of the Sacred Heart Cathedral in order to express their solidarity with Palestinian Christians who encounter stiff restrictions to enter their places of worship in and around Jerusalem during this Holy Week. Archbishop Vincent M Concessao prayed for just peace in Palestine. The event was graced by the Palestinian Ambassador Mr. Adli Sadeq, Minister Oscar Fernandes and Mr A. C. Michael of Delhi Minority Commission, Bishop Franco and leaders of different denominations.
